This position assists in preparing detailed construction cost estimates across multiple project phases and supports negotiations, reviews, and cost evaluations related to design and construction documents.ResponsibilitiesEnsures the preparation of detailed cost estimates for all phases of design and constructionSupervises the development of quantity surveys and cost evaluations relating to design documents, contract drawings, specifications or contract changesReviews and reports on contract estimates prepared by private consultants and recommends if estimate is appropriate for implementationParticipates in cost negotiationsPlans, assigns, and reviews the cost estimating workPerforms related tasksJob RequirementsQualifications:EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Services or a related field3 years full time, technical experience in estimating areas of architecture, electrical, mechanical or plumbingOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESProficient in Microsoft Office programsAbility to obtain and scope trade contractor budget proposalsUnderstanding of Contract Document and SpecificationsStrong written and verbal skillsAbility to work in a team-based environment
