POSITION SUMMARY AND SCOPE: This position will be responsible for assisting in the shipping department maintaining functions required to insure accurate inventories, receipts, and shipments to internal and external customers.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain a constant flow of raw products onto assigned production lines.Work closely with Production Leads to ensure smooth movement of acceptable raw product.Assist in unloading, transport, and put away of inbound raw product.Inspect powered jacks/trucks for operating conditions and safety.Unload material and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned placesLocate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipmentIdentify damages and report shortages or quality deficienciesTransport raw materials to production workstationsInspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenanceAccurate, timely, and efficient workflow for all assignments.Communicate with supervisor, leads, production, and as needed.Adherence to all Company PoliciesAlways follow and comply with company's safety program.Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.Maintain a safe work areaMust be able to work outside when needed in any weather conditions.Capable of working in a cold (34-38 degrees F) and wet environmentAbility to lift 75 pounds consistentlyForklift certifiedSKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Ability to change priorities rapidly and work independently and/or with teamsProduct knowledge and understanding material requirements planningStrong communication and organizational skillsLifting/moving product and supplies up to 50 poundsGeneral math skillsUnderstanding of basic 5SWorks well without direct supervision, task-orientedProcess-orientedHourly rate starting at $20.00We are the ASSA ABLOY GroupOur people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
