Make an impact!Join us as a Hazardous Waste Technician and launch your career in environmental services!As a Hazardous Waste Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting safe and compliant hazardous waste management for a Tradebe customer. This position provides onsite support for hazardous waste operations with an emphasis on maintaining compliance of satellite accumulation areas. If you have experience with hazardous waste handling or knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and RCRA regulations and an interest in growing in the field, this position could be for you!Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure OSHA, DOT, and hazardous waste compliance across multiple buildingsConduct inspections of waste collection and storage areasRestock on‐site safety and compliance suppliesSupport general onsite tasks, including inventory control and maintaining clean, organized work areas.Assist with the consolidation of chemicals from various labs and departments.Ensure accurate labeling of containers with required DOT/EPA and TSD information.Understand and follow customer-specific disposal restrictions and special packaging requirements.Maintain adequate supplies of onsite PPE, shipping documents, labels, and other required materials.Follow all applicable regulations, safety standards, and internal policies to ensure EHS compliance.Assist in collecting, segregating, and properly packaging chemical waste and materials for disposal to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.Perform additional duties as assigned.Do you have what it takes?Understanding of hazardous waste operationsFamiliarity with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulationsStrong working knowledge of OSHA standardsPrevious hands-on experience with lab packing, chemical stabilization, or regulatory compliance activities is a plusPreferred experience in waste management processes such as waste collection, satellite accumulation area management, profiling, chemical segregation, and waste disposal technologies.40-hour HAZWOPER preferredAbility to get a Class B license (company provided) requiredAbility to wear a full-face respirator.Ability to work onsite daily and maintain the schedule for which you are hired.What's in for you?Why Tradebe is Right for YouCompetitive pay and benefitsStudent loan repayment assistanceGenerous vacation and sick plansMedical (including telehealth), dental and vision401k Retirement matchFlexible spending accounts (FSA)Health savings accounts (HSA)Agency paid, basic life and AD&D insuranceCareer ladders, professional development, and promotion opportunitiesLeadership opportunitiesGreat work environment and cultureAnd MORE!Ready to make a difference?
