Transmissions Analyst 2

DescriptionPosition OverviewBLOC Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Transmission Analyst 2 to support transmission capital projects within the supply chain function. This role is critical to ensuring the accurate planning, procurement, and delivery of transmission materials needed for construction and infrastructure projects.The ideal candidate will have experience working with materials management systems, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across multiple internal teams and external vendors. This position plays a key role in ensuring materials are available at the right time, in the right quantities, and at the correct locations to support project success.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesMaterials Planning & CoordinationCoordinate and manage transmission materials required for capital construction projectsCreate and process purchase requisitions to ensure timely procurement of materialsExpedite material orders and track delivery timelines to support project schedulesReview and validate Transmission Bills of Materials (BOM) for accuracy and completenessSystems & Data ManagementReconcile and maintain data accuracy between systems such as TEAMS and MAXIMOMonitor and update material records, ensuring alignment across supply chain platformsAnalyze material usage trends and identify discrepancies or inefficienciesStakeholder CollaborationPartner with internal teams including Construction, Engineering, Procurement, and Traffic to support project executionWork closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure proper material handling, storage, and deliveryServe as a liaison between project teams and supply chain to resolve material-related issuesProcurement & Vendor ManagementSource materials through vendor quotes and supplier engagementSupport negotiation of pricing, delivery schedules, and service agreementsBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable service and supply continuityInventory Control & ComplianceMaintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper material tracking and controlSupport audit readiness by ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsPerform invoice reconciliation and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teamsProject & Operational SupportAssist in the planning and execution of transmission system expansion and improvement projectsProvide reporting and analysis to support project decision-making and performance trackingSupport emergency response efforts, including storm restoration activities, as neededRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred3-6 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, logistics, or related fieldExperience working with inventory systems, procurement processes, or utility/industrial environments preferredRequired Skills & AbilitiesTechnical SkillsFamiliarity with materials management systems such as MAXIMO, TEAMS, or similar platformsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (data analysis, reporting, tracking)Understanding of supply chain processes including procurement, inventory control, and logistics coordinationAnalytical & Problem-Solving SkillsStrong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and identify discrepanciesAbility to troubleshoot material shortages, delays, and system inconsistenciesCapable of making data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environmentCommunication & CollaborationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partnersStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholdersOrganizational SkillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong time management and organizational abilitiesSelf-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionWork EnvironmentOffice-based role located in Forest Park, GAMay require occasional field coordination or interaction with logistics and construction teamsMust be available to support emergency operations, including storm restoration efforts, as neededFast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting critical infrastructure projects
