Wastewater Technician

Job TitleFollow, comply and enforce all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).Operate and maintain all wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, filters, tanks, chemical feed systems, and control panels.Monitor pH levels, chemical usage, flow rates, and discharge quality from the e-coat line and general plant processes.Perform daily sampling and testing of wastewater to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.Record and analyze data related to chemical usage, water quality, and discharge volumes; maintain detailed logs.Adjust chemical dosages and treatment methods based on test results and process requirements.Coordinate waste hauling and disposal of sludge and other byproducts.Conduct routine inspections of wastewater systems and associated infrastructure; identify and troubleshoot operational issues.Assist in the preparation of environmental reports and documentation for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.Support environmental audits and inspections.Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals.Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on process improvement and equipment upgrades.Perform other duties as required.Position RequirementsEducation:Associate's degree in technical fieldClass D License in water/wastewater treatment is required (physical/chemical in SC).Work Experience / Technical Training:2+ years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment, preferably in automotive or manufacturing environments.Ability to read and interpret technical documents, SDS, and environmental reports.Valid driver's license and ability to operate a forklift or similar equipment may be requiredKnowledge of electrocoating process waste characteristics and treatment methods is highly desirable.Why Work Here?Health Insurance (includes telemedicine, FSA, HSA, and other benefits)Dental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) with matchEmployee Profit Sharing PlanEmployee Assistance ProgramTuition ReimbursementReferral Program - Up to $1,000 per hired referralOnsite cafeteria with multiple fresh-cooked options and salad bar, and fully stocked breakrooms throughout plantAnnual events (Summer cookout, Christmas party, etc.)Onsite Nurses' officeOnsite Mother's roomPay range: $30.10 - $39.76 per hourVISA SPONSORSHIP NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION#LI-JC1 #LI-Onsite
