A rapidly growing manufacturer in South Jersey is hiring a Controller to take full ownership of the finance function across multiple operating entities. This is not a back-office role, this is a build, lead, and influence position with a clear runway to a future CFO seat.If you’re a hands-on leader who can operate both tactically and strategically, owning the numbers while shaping the direction of the business, this is a high-upside opportunity.What You’ll Do:Lead the close process and deliver consolidated financial statements across multiple entitiesEnsure accuracy across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reportingOversee day-to-day accounting including AR/AP, billing, collections, and disbursementsEstablish and strengthen internal controls and reporting disciplineBuild and maintain rolling 13-week cash flow forecastsActively manage liquidity, receivables, and payment cyclesPartner with operations to improve cash conversion and working capital efficiencyDevelop financial models around pricing, margins, capacity planning, and capital investmentsSupport M&A activity including diligence, integration, and pro forma modelingProvide actionable insights that drive business decisionsPrepare lender and investor reporting packagesSupport financing initiatives including lines of credit, term debt, and real estate transactionsPresent financial performance and key metrics to executive leadershipIdentify and pursue grant opportunities tied to manufacturing, STEM, and workforce initiativesManage applications, compliance, and reporting requirementsEnhance integration between ERP, accounting, and quoting systemsLead automation efforts and build scalable financial infrastructureWhat They’re Looking For:10+ years in accounting/finance with progression into leadershipBackground in manufacturing and/or startup environments requiredBlend of controllership and FP&A experienceExperience working with lenders, banks, or investorsStrong financial modeling and cash flow forecasting capabilitiesSolid understanding of cost accounting and operational financeHands-on, ownership mentality, willing to roll up your sleevesOperates with urgency and accountabilityCommercially minded with strong business acumenClear and confident communicator
