Middle School Wrestling Head Coach

Grandview Heights Schools is seeking a dedicated Middle School Head Wrestling Coach for the upcoming 26-27 school year!Title: Middle School Wrestling Head CoachPosition Type: SupplementalReports to: Athletic DirectorQualifications:Experience in the designated sportMust meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education and OHSAA, including acquiring a pupil activity permit and CPR certificationPrior coaching experience preferredVan certification preferredEssential Job Functions:Supervise and instruct the middle school wrestling team consisting of approximately 10-20 student-athletes.Conduct regular practices for the team.Coach student-athletes in a positive manner.Ensure the safety of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.Develop practice and training plans for athletes with differing ability levels.Coaching will require six days per week including practices and contests. 15-20 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach.Supervise and travel with the team to all contests.Work with the Athletic Director to schedule future contests.Work with the Athletic Director to order necessary apparel and equipment.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Working ConditionsPotential exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissueOccasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weatherRegular requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see and readRegular requirement to lift equipment, up to 50 pounds
