Think you have what it takes?Job SummaryInteracts with partners (client partner and common carrier representatives) to ensure superior levels of customer serviceMaintains a safe work environment at all times through management of othersSupervises the day-to-day operation of assigned work groups to ensure that all partner and Capstone Logistics' requirements are met and implemented effectivelyAssigns tasks to associates in a fair and equitable mannerHandling of freight as required, meeting company standards and timelines while maintaining a safe work environmentQualifications1-2 years of supervisory / leadership experience in an industrial settingProven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external partners.Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associatesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Strong organization and prioritizing skillsAbility to simultaneously perform multiple tasksAbility to solve problems and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environmentIntermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPointPrincipal AccountabilitiesEnsure partner needs are met on a daily basisDocument and resolve any customer service or associate issues daily and report them to the Regional Director or Director as requested/needed.Ensure all associates follow Capstone Logistics policies and work rules including Capstone safety work rulesHold weekly safety meetings and ensure associate participationScheduling associate shifts based on partner requirementsAssist with the interviewing, orientation and training of new associatesDock level negotiation of rates with common carrier representativesSupervise timely and accurate data entry for all services performedComply with all administrative reporting and financial policies and proceduresAbility to complete daily closeout, including cash balancing, data upload, and payroll record administration according to Capstone Logistics policies and standard operating proceduresPhysical RequirementsStanding and /or walking for extended periods of time in warehouse environment (concrete flooring and changing temperatures)Ability to lift 50 lbs.Computer data entry.Ability to function in cold and hot weather environment.Ability to be certified to operate manual or powered material handling equipment in a safe and productive mannerEDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEAssociate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
