Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical or related engineering degree0-2+ years of experience working as a Geotechnical TechnicianProficient with Microsoft Excel and WordEI preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExperience with geotechnical subsurface investigations and foundations assessmentsExcellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite, MS Excel in particularExcellent communication skillsAbility to work in a team as well as on their ownAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to complete work using CAD or manual drafting techniques preferredgINT geotechnical engineering software experience preferredSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Essential FunctionsCoordinate geotechnical site characterization activities, including setting up subcontracts with drillers, testing laboratories etc.Perform geotechnical site characterization activities, logging of geotechnical field explorations, as well as coordination of field and laboratory testingPrepare geotechnical data and geotechnical recommendation reportsPerform geotechnical analyses. Assist with drawing, specification, and cost-estimate preparationPerform calculations using engineering formulasPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be at site locations on the ground, sit, stand, walk, use both hands, and reach and raise items above the head, use fingers to feel and handle, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds.Work EnvironmentApproximately 50% performed in an external environment, on-site, outdoors, exposed to the elements of nature working under normal construction conditions.
