Job DescriptionProject Engineering Manager Overhead Transmission LineSenior Transmission Line Engineer / Engineering Manager (Overhead Transmission)A leading U.S. engineering firm is seeking a senior-level transmission line engineer to lead complexoverhead transmission projects for utility customers and mentor engineering teams. This role is heavily focused on structuraldesign and offers strong compensation and long-term growth.Technical Focus~90% structural engineering (foundations, framing, materials)Experience with steel, wood, laminate, and composite structuresLattice tower experience is a plusEPC And/or Utility Services Experience PreferredKey ResponsibilitiesLead engineering execution for large or multi-project transmission programsPrepare and review complex engineering deliverables and calculationsManage budgets, schedules, and quality across disciplinesLead and mentor engineering teams; provide PLS-CADD trainingServe as technical lead and responsible charge on projectsInterface with clients and support pursuit/business development effortsPreferred ExperienceU.S. investor-owned utility transmission projectsStrong understanding of PLS-CADD, line routing, structural loading, and foundation designExperience coordinating with procurement, permitting, land, and construction teamsProposal support and engineering cost estimating experienceLocationsPreferred: OR, CA, TX, KS, CO, MN, MI, NC, FL(Open to candidates near other major U.S. engineering offices)CompensationUp to $200,000 base salaryBonus, ESOP, and full benefitsQualificationsRequirements812+ years of overhead transmission line design experience (69kV+ required)PLS-CADD Experience RequiredExperience with 500kV+ projects strongly preferredBachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (other engineering degrees considered)PE license preferredWhy Is This a Great OpportunityOur client is a major in the red-hot electric power transmission industry.
