Apply now for this opportunity at Carex!Carex is partnering with a healthtech startup partner to find a Support Engineer for a remote, 4 month contract, with the ability to extend. The ideal profile is someone who is agile, self-driven, and passionate about healthcare IT and customer experience. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented problem solver with strong technical aptitude and a collaborative mindset. The Support Engineer will work closely with Software Engineers and interface regularly with customer IT staff, playing a key role in issue resolution, change management, technical communications, and ongoing support process improvements. This person must reside and work on West Coast hours.What You’ll DoProvide advanced technical support and guidance to customers using the platformTroubleshoot and resolve system issues using monitoring tools and error logsTriage, diagnose, escalate, and resolve customer tickets in coordination with EngineeringSupport implementation and installation processes by collaborating with internal teams and vendorsContribute to internal and external support documentation, including SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base contentProvide feedback on onboarding materials, workflows, and documentation best practices to help improve Support team scalability and efficiencyCommunicate regularly and effectively with customers and their IT staffDevelop deep product expertise to drive resolution and improvementsWhat You’ll Bring5+ years of experience in technical customer support, including 2+ years in Healthcare ITStrong skills in reading and troubleshooting error logs and code-related issuesExperience contributing to or maintaining technical documentation, support workflows, or knowledge base contentFamiliarity with documentation best practices and process improvement within Support or Support Operations environmentsClear, empathetic communication and a collaborative attitudeFamiliarity with ticketing systems and documenting support workflowsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesComfort working in Agile/Scrum environmentsPreferred ExperienceExposure to Epic, Cerner, or similar healthcare IT systemsHands-on experience with tools such as DataDog, LaunchDarkly, and SalesforceBackground in Systems Engineering, with experience in performance monitoring, technical research, and documentationThe hourly pay rate range is $50-$65/hour and will be dependent on level of experience.
