Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team and provide technical leadership across HVAC and plumbing design projects. This role is ideal for an experienced Professional Engineer who enjoys leading multidisciplinary projects, mentoring engineering teams, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients.As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in project delivery, design quality, client relationships, and the continued growth of the mechanical engineering practice.How You'll ContributeLead mechanical engineering design efforts for a variety of commercial, multifamily residential, and government projects.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mechanical engineers and designers.Develop and manage project work plans, schedules, and deliverables.Establish system selections, basis of design, and overall engineering approach for projects.Represent the mechanical discipline during client meetings and project discussions.Coordinate HVAC and plumbing system designs with other engineering disciplines and project managers.Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and project teams.Support construction administration activities, including submittal reviews and RFI responses.Assist with the development and maintenance of engineering standards and best practices.Perform quality control reviews to ensure technical excellence and project consistency.Serve as a senior technical resource for HVAC and plumbing design challenges.What Makes You a Great FitBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.Minimum of 8 years of HVAC and plumbing design experience.Strong experience designing systems for multifamily, commercial, and/or government projects.Proficiency with Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience using Trane Trace load calculation software.Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing system design, documentation, and construction processes.Proven ability to lead projects and mentor engineering teams.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to effectively interact with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Perks & BenefitsCompetitive compensation packageProfessional development and career growth opportunitiesCollaborative and innovative engineering environmentExposure to high-profile commercial, multifamily, and government projectsLeadership opportunities within a growing engineering practiceComprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and paid time offHybrid work flexibility depending on office location
