Drainage Engineer
moonrise. is partnered with a respected transportation and traffic engineering firm who are seeking a talented Senior Drainage Engineer in Orlando, Florida. The successful candidate will lead drainage design for transportation projects, including stormwater management facility, floodplain compensation site, storm drain, ditch, culvert, bridge hydraulics, and scour analysis. You will be responsible for the discipline-specific planning, work distribution, and leadership and adherence to the schedule, and budget on complex or unusual engineering projects.responsibilities.Develop scope of work and level of effort and manage adherence to scope and budget on complex or unusual engineering projects within disciplineLead and manage drainage related projects and provide leadership and mentoring to project teamsPrepare construction and permitting documents, including reports, plans, and specificationsParticipate in project pursuits including presentations, interviews, and technical proposalsDevelop scope of services and staff hour estimation for drainage tasksWork closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projectsPerform quality control review of deliverablesduties.Coordinates technical aspects of the project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline on complex or unusual engineering projects.Provides technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve overall project objectives on complex or unusual engineering projects.Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline.Uses senior-level technical expertise to consider broad range of engineering solutions.Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.Performs other duties as assigned.requirements:Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and AutoCAD Civil 3D production platforms, and usage of a variety of technical design software packages (ICPR, HEC-RAS, OpenRoads Designer Drainage)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, orMaster’s degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, orPhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experienceFamiliarity with FDOT drainage design and production criteriaProfessional Engineer (PE) in FloridaPlease contact us at info@moonrisegroup.org for more information.
