This position is responsible for handling a high volume of cash and credit transactions in a responsible manner. This employee must have excellent attendance to ensure the success of the Parking Department during events held at the Iowa Events Center.This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00.For Part-Time roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.ResponsibilitiesGreet and direct customers entering parking lotsCommunicate parking information to the publicSell parking ticketsAccept cash or credit payment. Count back correct change as neededUse credit machine with personal identification number and building codesWork in a variety of parking locations and positionsDocument all cars going through booth as assignedBalance cash drawer at the end of shift as assignedPark cars quickly and efficientlyMonitor lot during events, immediately contacting supervisor as issues ariseProvide positive and friendly experience to all customersSet up A-frame signs, parking cones, and reserved parking signsIdentify and problem solve parking issues; prevent when possibleProvide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clientsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredAbility to work both independently and as part of teamMust have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environmentMust have the ability to work flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends and holidays.Ability to communicate clearly in the English language and use a company radio to communicateMust be comfortable working with the publicRequires strong interpersonal and communications skills
