Maintain a friendly and professional environment by greeting and acknowledging every customer and co-worker that approaches. Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities on a daily basis. Effectively communicate customer service issues and requests to management.EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:Handle cash, checks, credit cards and financingCount till (cash) bags at the beginning and end of each shift, verifying that all transactions were done correctly and till balances at the end of each shiftMaintain the front office appearance by keeping everything neat and cleanFile the daily invoicesCall the bank on all out of state checks and temporary checks to verify that the checks will clearCall the finance company to verify information on customers account (balance due, account balance, available credit);Copy and match all finance approvalsProcess special orders and handwritten ticketsTake account payments for fabric checkouts or other misc. payments.Perform any other duties as directed by management.EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers; computer experience required; basic mathematical skills required; attention to detail; ability to communicate effectively and positively with internal and external customers. Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures.PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
