Job Summary:The Level 3 Cloud Engineer works under direct supervision of the Cloud Engineer Team Lead selecting from a variety of established procedures along with verbal and written instructions. In this role, the Level 3 Cloud Engineer will act as the escalation point for level 2 engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud environments, and driving DevOps best practices, while also acting as a technical leader. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud platforms as well as hands-on experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.Key Responsibilities:Act as the highest escalation point for cloud infrastructure and application issues, diagnosing and resolving advanced technical problems. Design, implement, maintain, and optimize scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures for clients.Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.Manage and support cloud resources including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and backup solutions.Develop and maintain scripts for automation and configuration management using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).Monitor and improve cloud security by implementing policies, governance, and compliance best practices.Perform root cause analysis and lead post-incident reviews to prevent recurring issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and improve cloud solutions.Document technical processes, configurations, and solutions in knowledge bases and playbooks.Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 engineers and contribute to their technical growth.Stay current on emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements or new solutions.Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and practices to enhance service delivery and efficiency.Qualifications:Expert-level knowledge of cloud platforms with a focus on Microsoft Azure.Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies including CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)Strong scripting and automation experienceDeep understanding of networking principles, including VPNs, firewalls, DNS, and load balancers.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates knowledge a plus).Deep understanding of cloud security best practices Experience working within a ticketing systems for Incident and Problem Management. (ServiceNow experience preferred)Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Experience with cloud monitoring and management software such as HPE OpsRamp
