Auto Physical Damage Examiner Supervisor (Hybrid)
The Auto Physical Damage Examiner Supervisor will lead, build, coach, and motivate the claims examiner team. The Auto Physical Damage Examiner will supervise and manage customer service, cycle times, quality, and severity performance within the team. They will also understand divisional objectives and develop strategies to help their team succeed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Coach team members on quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
Regularly coach, train, and mentor team and communicate feedback on progress and opportunities to assist in achieving goals and objectives.
Create a healthy and motivating work environment.
Set and approve employee’s work schedule.
Verify and approve timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies.
Complete evaluations, progress reports and personal improvement plans.
Document performance feedback and other personnel matters.
Manage quality assurance utilizing claims quality assurance, claims experience, internal audit and compliance, and their own file reviews.
Conduct regular team meetings.
Participate in the hiring process including interviews and recommendations.
Manage customer concerns/complaints that escalate beyond the examiner level.
Develop strategies to remedy the experience and coach the examiners on how to avoid escalation in the future.
Work closely with the marking team, agents, and claims experience team to resolve customer experience concerns and develop strategies to improve/enhance customer experience.
Build relationships with vendors.
Monitor workloads and staffing to ensure that the team can be successful meeting experience, cycle time and productivity expectations.
Make recommendations for overtime and staffing.
Serve as a claims technical resource to their team and others within the organization.
Leads projects/initiatives within the division.
Continue education as outlined by executive management.
Monitor vendor performance and address concerns with vendor contact.
Continuously focus on ways to improve leadership and supervisory skills.
Requirements:
High School Diploma
3 years insurance industry experience
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong understanding of the personal auto policies and applicable insurance regulations.
Proficient in claims procedures and workflow processes with hands on experience with all facets of the claims process.
Proficient computer skills.
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
Leadership skills.
Enthusiastic about leading people, building relationships, and helping others achieve success.
Strong business acumen.
Critical thinking with strong decision-making, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Effective time management skills, detail oriented, and organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to work both independently and within a team with minimal direct supervision.
Ability to handle stress professionally, calmly, and effectively.

Payband 5 / 40 hours per week
Salary: $44,926-$80,865
