Psychologist PositionKey/Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesProvides day-to-day support, direction and clinical supervision for Mental Health Clinicians conducting a variety of evaluations.Develops mastery of all assessments performed by YAI Center for Specialty Therapy clinics.Oversees and ensures compliance with all applicable rules and regulations for evaluation services provided by Mental Health Clinicians.Provides clinical supervision as authorized by State of New York.Regularly reviews evaluations completed by Mental Health Clinicians to ensure completeness, accuracy and adherence to specific test requirements.Processes reviewed and approved evaluations in electronic health record (EHR).Facilitates specialized, complex evaluations and psychological assessments.Assists leadership with maintaining a safe, secure and compliant work environment.Participates in planning and monitoring of staffing, scheduling and caseloads.Participates in interview, selection, placement and professional development for Mental Health Clinicians.Identifies concerns with attendance, work hours, quality and/or performance of Mental Health Clinicians.Collaborates with the multidisciplinary clinical team and external providers.Regularly monitors all electronic communication methods.Performs all duties of Mental Health Clinician.Complies with and ensures compliance with all regulatory agency requirements.Performs all other duties, as assigned.Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilitiesCurrent and valid license and registration as a Psychologist issued by the New York State Education Department.Doctoral degree in Psychology from a program that is recognized by NYSED as licensure qualifying.Eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist by NYSED with current pending application for Psychologist license.Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.Unquestionable ethics and integrity, with a commitment to objectivity and upholding the integrity of tests and assessments.Self-directed, detail oriented and highly organized, with strong time management skills.Exceptional coaching skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word, email management and electronic systems.Must hold or obtain and maintain certification in Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention – Revised (SCIP-R) within six months of hire.Ability to report on-site to our Manhattan office and/or to other clinic location(s) across the NYC metropolitan area on a regular basis.Ability to respond to calls from clinicians conducting evaluations outside of regular work hours in the event of an emergency during evening and/or weekend hours.Ability to meet essential physical demands of position.Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).Experience with and/or strong interest in psychometrics, specifically with standardized testing and assessments.Formal training and/or certification in assessments specific to the I/DD population.Verbal and/or written fluency in a second language preferred, Spanish highly preferred.CompensationSalary is up to 75000 USD annually.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or status as a Vietnam or disabled veteran.
