Description: LOLO PASS Lead Bartender - Spring 2021 We're looking for passionate, experienced bartenders to join our opening team and lead the team at the bars in the lobby and rooftop of Lolo Pass. The position will entail cocktail making, food service, assisting with staffing and inventory/ ordering. Self-motivation and trustworthiness are a must. A large part of the job is interacting with guests, conveying excitement about the food and drink but also Portland generally. You'll play an important role in our front of house team representing Lolo Pass and setting the mood for guests. While the position is technically at the restaurant and rooftop bar, we expect this person to have a team mentality and work with the entire Lolo Pass team to make guest experience exceptional and memorable. About Lolo Pass Lolo Pass is a brand new 87-room hotel/hostel hybrid in the Buckman neighborhood of Portland's Eastside. The coffee bar takes a prominent position in the lobby. The lobby also features a ground floor restaurant and bar that will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner and an array of local beer and wine plus cocktails. Additionally, there are two private event spaces - an art gallery and a rooftop space. We're looking to integrate the coffee program seamlessly into food service and event catering. Lolo Pass has been designed to be a familiar, communal space for guests from all over the world and locals alike to mingle and engage. The space will be vibrant and lively but easy-going. We champion a safe, inclusive space for guests to have unexpected, magical experiences. Working Conditions The bar position will be paid on an hourly basis plus tip share. Shifts will be up to 8 hours each and may include evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Bartenders may work up to 35 hours/week. You may be cross-trained as a receptionist/barista as operations progress. Requirements: The position may require the following: 2 years finer dining restaurant bartending experience Able to handle high volume customer settings Constant standing or walking Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crawling Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
