Bellperson (3rd Shift)
OverviewThe Bell Persons primary role is to assist guests with their luggage at all times, but especially when arriving or exiting the hotel. This role will also be responsible for safely transporting guests between the hotel and the Louisville International Airport. The Bellperson will provide a high level of customer service ensuring that personalized service is offered to each and every guest. This role will also share in Houseperson duties as needed.Safety and Environmental PerformanceLead the safety effort by personal exampleSupport full hotel compliance with safety rules to further our goal of zero (0) accidents and encouragement of reporting and correcting near missesAdhere to SOPs and other work procedures as required to assure guest satisfaction and consistencies to our customersImmediately report all injuries to the supervisor or manager on dutyWork RequirementsWill serve as the face of the Crowne Plaza HotelA successful candidate supports our brand by providing our guests with exceptional customer serviceMust be willing to greet our guests with a smile and in a hospitable, friendly, and professional mannerWill assist our guests with the unloading and loading of luggage, transporting luggage to and from the guest's roomSafely and efficiently operate the hotel shuttle van to transport guests to and from the airport and assist with loading and unloading guests luggage and other belongings as needed.Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, assisting with luggage, and ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable ride.Maintains the front port-cochere by picking up trash, cleaning oil leaks, shoveling snow, melting ice, hosing off sidewalks etc.Maintain a clean and well-maintained shuttle van, including washing, cleaning, fueling, regular inspections and adherence to maintenance schedules.Inspects van to ensure that it is in order and that supplies are adequate. Reports damage, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the shuttle van, ensuring the safety of passengers and other road users.Coordinate with the Front Office Managers or Director of Rooms to schedule shuttle runs based on hotel needs.Keep accurate records of shuttle runs, including passenger counts, destinations, and any notable incidents or feedback. Complete and submit daily vehicle inspection and guest count checklists.Adhere to the hotel's policies and procedures, including confidentiality and security protocols.Serves as a source of information on the location of restaurants and entertainmentProvides directions within the hotel to meeting rooms, restaurants, and other general informationMaintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing the hotel in a positive manner.Keeps curb and work area neat and cleanOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School diploma or EquivalentAbility to lift at least 50 poundsFamiliar with the Louisville and surrounding areaMust have a pleasant attitude, professional, and mannersDisplay the willingness to provide exceptional customer service to our guestsHospitality experience desiredWorking ConditionsWill be standing, walking, pushing and pulling carts, and lifting luggage.Physical RequirementsExert physical effort in transporting 50 poundsEndure various physical movements throughout the work areasReach 6 feetRemain in stationary position for 1 hour throughout work shiftSatisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understandingOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
