Diesel Mechanic

The mechanic diagnoses, trouble shoots, and repairs equipment using tools. This individual makes modifications and uses good judgment in making cost and time effective repairs.Inspect trucks/trailers for damagePrioritize workloadOrder parts for shop and equipment repairOrganize and clean shop area including restroomMaintain and stock tiresSchedule oil changes according to mileageConduct routine maintenance on vehicles including changing filters, checking and topping off fluids, etc...Inspect brakes and replace as neededConduct vehicle repairs including but not limited to engine, drive train, electrical, belts, pumps and A/C workMount/Dismount tiresWork takes place in a shop as well as outsideMust be able to work in all weather conditionsThe duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The employee is required to use hands to handle, operate or feel objects, tools, or controls.
