IT Department Assistant MISSION STATEMENT: To transform lives through love and service.SUMMARY: This position is responsible to assist in the daily operations of the IT department. Conduct day-to-day computer operations, database management, telephone system operations, hardware and software, system development: and research and analyze system problems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Nothing in this job description restricts management's rights to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at this time)Manage technical resource by assisting users to resolve problems with equipment and dataProvide help-desk support as required with a customer support focused attitude. Facilitate customer support processes to include database entry, scheduling, and follow-up within customer SLAs.Monitor and prioritize service requests to facilitate support and the exchange of information and advice; implement solutions and assist with providers as requiredAssess software on a regular basis, ensure it meets necessary demands and is the current supported versionResponsible for the security of mission critical data (client records, financial data, employee records) and its availability to the end userPerform daily functions of the IT departmentPerform required equipment inventories, maintain database with up-to-date information.Develop, generate, and compile reportsDevelop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfactionInstall hardware and software then train employees on its usePerform data recovery procedures when required.Prepare documents, spreadsheets, and database as necessary for reporting purposesBack-up databases to media and offsite secure storage on a weekly basis and store to protect information from major malfunctions, disaster, or other lossesResearch and recommend replacement of equipment and upgrade software as neededManage the support, training and troubleshooting of office telephone systems and voicemailServe as a technical resource to departments regarding information services and hardware needsActively participate in the PQI SystemAssist in data analysis processesOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Complies with all applicable training requirementsComplies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and proceduresComplies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programsContributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative teamPerforms other duties as necessary to fulfill the Society of St. Vincent de Paul CARES Mission and ValuesREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
