Lead a senior team that tests whether federal AI systems are ready for real-world use.JR Software Solutions Inc. (JRSS) is hiring a Program Manager in the Washington, DC area (Alexandria, VA, hybrid) to lead our AI Assurance program for a federal civilian client. Our team independently tests, red-teams, verifies, and assesses generative AI, LLM, RAG, and machine learning systems before federal agencies rely on them.This is a key personnel role. You will be the client's single point of contact, with full authority over daily program operations. The program is starting now, so you will lead it from day one: staffing and clearances, the first management and quality plans, and a steady stream of deliverables that must be on time and defensible.If you have run federal IT task orders, hold an active Public Trust, and want to lead AI work, we'd like to talk this week.About JRSSJRSS is a certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), and HUBZone company headquartered in Tampa, FL. Our AI Assurance practice gives agencies independent evidence that their AI systems perform, behave safely, and are ready to deploy.What you'll doServe as the primary point of contact for client contracting and technical leadership, with full authority on daily program matters.Lead a small, senior team of AI test, red team, IV&V, and cloud platform engineers.Own the program management plan, quality control plan, transition plans, and telework plan.Deliver monthly status reports: work completed, deliverable status, risks, and telework reporting.Manage the schedule, resource plan, risk register, and configuration management on fixed-price federal work.Track every deliverable (test plans, results, red team and IV&V reports, readiness assessments, executive briefings) from draft through client acceptance.Run the quality program: peer reviews, monthly inspections, corrective actions, and performance metrics.Lead staffing, onboarding, Public Trust and PIV processing, and backup coverage.Enforce federal security, privacy, and AI-use requirements.What you bringBachelor's degree and 10+ years managing Federal IT services contracts or task orders.Current PMP certification.Active Public Trust (or higher), with an investigation completed within the last 5 years.Direct experience working with Contracting Officers and CORs on deliverables, reporting, staffing, and invoicing.Experience leading remote or hybrid technical teams with clear progress reporting.Strong writing and briefing skills for senior government audiences.You live in the DC / Northern Virginia / Maryland area and can be on site as directed. Available 8 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday–Friday.Nice to haveExperience with federal law enforcement or homeland security agencies.Experience managing AI/ML, data analytics, software testing, or IV&V programs.Familiarity with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework or agency AI governance.ATO or FedRAMP experience.Agile certification (CSM, PSPO, SAFe) and Azure or AI certifications (AZ-900, AI-900).Citizenship and work authorization — please read before applyingThis is a full-time, W-2 position with JR Software Solutions. It is not available on a corp-to-corp or 1099 basis, and we do not sponsor visas for this role.Because of federal client requirements, U.S. citizenship is required, and you must have lived in the United States for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
