Now Hiring: Controls EngineerMapleton, IL | On-Site | 12-Month ContractPay: $49 - $52 an hrWe are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support automation, system design, and process improvement efforts within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation initiatives and contribute to the development of controls engineering standards.Location: Mapleton, IL (On-site, 5 days/week)Schedule: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) + 5–10 hours OT weeklyKey ResponsibilitiesSupport electrical design from concept through system completion while maintaining project schedulesTest, evaluate, modify, and calibrate automation systems and instrumentationAnalyze plant processes and implement continuous improvement initiativesTroubleshoot hardware, controls systems, and manufacturing processesPerform technical calculations (electrical requirements, motor controls, safety standards)Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirementsDaily Work IncludesControls system troubleshooting and fault recoveryUpdating system documentation and supporting firmware/software upgradesLeading small to mid-sized automation projectsCollaborating with engineering teams on production and system improvementsRequired Qualifications5+ years of controls/automation engineering experienceAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)Strong experience with:Allen-Bradley PLC programmingHMI programmingFanuc robotic programmingSolid understanding of control systems engineeringPreferredFunctional machine safety design and integration experienceKey SkillsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilityEffective communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentWhat Makes This Role Stand OutOpportunity to help develop and standardize controls engineering practicesExposure to advanced manufacturing automation within a foundry environmentHigh-impact role supporting critical production systems and mentoring junior engineers#INDOEM
