Your efforts will help ensure the company's success and growth by consistently sourcing and hiring qualified drivers who adhere to safety and compliance standards.*Hourly pay + Bonus structure*Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesCandidate Sourcing And OutreachUtilize 10thStreet ATS online database, and referrals, to review sourced potential CDL driversInitiate contact with candidates through phone calls, emails, and other communication methods to assess their interest and qualificationsProvide information, build rapport and influence potential drivers to drive for Stevens Transport IncCandidate Screening And EvaluationReview DOT, State, Local and Company requirements to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and compliance with CDL requirements.Interview pre-qualified candidates according to minimum hiring requirements of Stevens Transport and DOTConduct in depth phone interviews to evaluate candidates' driving skills, work history, and alignment with company standardsCompliance And DocumentationEnsure candidates meet the company's hiring criteria and regulatory requirements by verifying driving records, criminal records and employment historyMaintain accurate records of candidate documentation and information.Interviewing And AssessmentCoordinate and conduct in-depth interviews with candidates to assess their practical decision making skills, professionalism, and commitment to safety.Administer relevant tests or assessments to evaluate candidates' abilities.Candidate Selection And OfferCollaborate with hiring managers to identify the most suitable candidates for available CDL driver positions.Extend job offers to selected candidates and negotiate compensation packages as neededOnboarding And Training SupportAssist in coordinating the onboarding process for new CDL drivers, including orientation, training, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.Scheduling and confirming new hires for orientation and trainingReporting And Data ManagementGenerate and maintain accurate recruitment-related reports, including metrics on candidate sourcing, interviews, and hiring outcomes.Utilize recruitment software and databases to manage candidate data efficientlyGenerating regular and ad-hoc reports as needed by managementRelationship BuildingDevelop and maintain positive relationships with current and potential CDL drivers to build a strong talent network.Attend industry events, job fairs, and networking opportunities to promote the company and attract talent.Building and maintaining relationships with potential candidates and confirming level of interest throughout the hiring processEnsuring constant communication with applicants throughout the recruiting life cycle, including informing them of application status, requesting additional information, verifying questionable results, advising them of approval or denial, etc.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentProficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment software, and related tools.Strong computer and typing skills in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Excel, and WordAbility to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls and emailAbility to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlinesAbility to provide valuable and timely customer service to candidates, hiring managers and senior level managementAbility to take initiativeCapable of thriving as a team player but also driven by autonomyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field preferredStrong knowledge of CDL requirements, FMCSA regulations, and industry standardsPrevious experience in recruitment, particularly in CDL driver recruitment or a related role within the transportation or logistics industryExceptional organizational and time-management abilities.A commitment to safety and compliance.Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate candidate documentationExceptional communication - strong oral, written, interpersonal skills, and active listening skillsExperience with TenStreet ATS ApplicationSkills And AbilitiesCold callingCandidate screeningLead generationInterviewingPipeline managementStrategic thinkingProfessional communicationTime managementDocumentationDetail-orientedProblem solvingPhysical DemandsAbility to talk and hearProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerWork ExperienceRecruiting, customer service and/or sales experienceMonday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pmWorkshiftM-F (Day) (United States of America)EducationIn compliance with Federal and State equal employment opportunity laws, qualified candidates are considered for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, veteran status, non-job-related disability, or any other protected group status.
