Food Service Worker

JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position is responsible for assisting with foodpreparation, serving, cleaning, and providing resident service to assistwith the mission of the households. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintainscompliance with food handling safety standards and sanitationprocedures; reports unsafe conditions, hazardous equipment, or accidentsimmediately. Maintains food storage, work areas, and associated spacesin a clean and safe condition according to established policies andprocedures. Washes and sanitizes dishes, counters, kitchen equipment,and floors assuring Health Department standards of sanitation and safetyare met at all times. Routinely cleans stoves, steamtables, ovenequipment, refrigerator, freezer, floors, etc. Maintains orderly andsafe storage of food and supplies. Preps hot dish ingredients andcold-serve foods. Assists the Cook in preparation of high-quality, bulkquantities of menu items in accordance with established recipes. Assistsin setting up serving lines; serves and feeds as needed. Reports changeof resident condition and tracks/updates resident diet changes. Clearsand clean tables and chairs after use. Cleans up spills or breakageimmediately. Restocks condiments and dishes/silverware as needed.Empties and cleans trash receptacles. Provides backup assistance toother department personnel as needed. Other duties as assigned.\*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience incommercial cooking or food prep experience in a high-volume food serviceSetting Preferred.
