EDI Communications Technician
Purpose of the Position: The ECS EDI Communications Technician’s primary responsibility will be to work on all types of EDI communications. The Technician will primarily set up new AS2 servers and create, install, and test McLeod and EDI partner AS2 certificates. As AS2 certificates expire, the technician will create (for our customers) or receive and install (from our partners) and coordinate the testing of the new certificates and the timing of the ‘go live’ of the switch. The Technician will also troubleshoot communications support issues and have other responsibilities to support the group technically.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Takes lead on Onboarding new Customers AS2
Onboarding new trading partners
Generate new AS2 certificates for customers and coordinate the renewal with each AS2 trading partner
Work with customers’ trading partners to renew their AS2 certificates when they expire
Perform customer upgrades for the EDI and AS2 modules in development and production environments
Work with internal and external customers to troubleshoot EDI communication issues
Works the EDI developer support queue
Troubleshoot communications and non-communication related support items.
Monitor the EDI Dev queue on a daily basis
Create and maintain AS2 SOP's and other documentation as requested
Generate SFTP public/private keys for new EDI SFTP implementations and work with the trading partner to establish the secure connection

Education/Experience:
High school degree or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of EDI, transportation, or software industry experience, required.
Minimum of one year of experience providing customers with technical software support, preferred.
Working knowledge of the transportation industry, preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with AS2 setup and maintenance, required.
Experience with template creation and modifications, a plus.
