Registered Nurse In Intensive Care Unit (ICU)As a Registered Nurse in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional healthcare to critically ill patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and specialized care. Your primary responsibilities will include:Patient Assessment: Perform thorough and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assessing the need for interventions.Critical Care: Provide specialized care to critically ill patients, including those with complex medical conditions, post-surgical recovery, and trauma-related injuries.Ventilator Management: Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation, ensuring proper settings and patient comfort.Medication Administration: Administer medications, fluids, and blood products as prescribed, and monitor patient responses while maintaining accurate records.Collaborative Care: Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, including code blue situations, and provide immediate life-saving interventions.Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.Equipment Operation: Competently operate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment used in the ICU.Infection Control: Strictly adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including assessments, interventions, and progress notes.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications:Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
