Export Control Analyst
OverviewJob Summary:The Export Control Compliance Analyst will support Allegis's export control compliance program, which covers staffing and services engagements with export control requirements. Working under the guidance of senior compliance leadership, this role will assist in implementing policies, procedures, and training across the organization.The Analyst will develop a working knowledge of relevant trade control laws — including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations — and will collaborate with key stakeholders to support export control compliance efforts. This role will also work alongside the Information Security team to assist in identifying Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements based on client flowdowns.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:Assist in the review of contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and other documents for export control requirementsHelp promote general export control awareness across the organizationMaintain and update export control documentation (Trade Control Policy, Technology Control Plans)Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Information Security, Contracts, OpCo Compliance, Finance, Business Development, and Sales to support compliance practicesAssist in conducting compliance audits under the direction of senior staffSupport the development and delivery of ITAR/EAR compliance training (in-person and through the PLMS)Review proposals and contracts to flag actionable export requirements for senior reviewResearch potential licensing requirements from the Department of State's DDTC, Department of Commerce's BIS, and other agencies; assist in drafting license applicationsSupport assessments of project-specific requirements to help ensure proper export control compliance is in placeResearch applicable ITAR and EAR exemptions and exceptions as neededAssist with CMMC compliance efforts through creation and organization of relevant evidenceQualificationsMinimum Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree1+ years of Export Controls experience, including knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR") and International Traffic in Arms Regulation ("ITAR"); Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)1+ year of government contracting experience, with knowledge of government contracting regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR) and government contract compliance preferredSkills/Abilities:Demonstrate ability to learn technical export expertise in contract review, cross functional training, and business supportSkill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilitiesAbility and willingness to learn complicated government regulationsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsStrong problem solving, analytical and project management skillsAbility to discuss with, and provide, guidance to executives, leadership and front-line employeesBenefits Overview:Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
