Position DetailsRole: Elasticsearch EngineerLocation: Chantilly, VAJob Type: Full-TimeClearance Required: Top Secret/SCI with CI PolyCitizenship: U.S. Citizenship RequiredTravel: Up to 10%Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy log analytics and infrastructure monitoring solutions using the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, and Kibana)Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade Elasticsearch clusters and environmentsOptimize Elasticsearch infrastructure and cluster performanceConfigure Kibana access controls and multi-tenancy featuresIntegrate Elastic Stack solutions with existing enterprise systemsMonitor system metrics and resolve log ingest/data flow issuesPerform daily administration and maintenance tasks for Elasticsearch environmentsWork within Agile and DevSecOps environments, including CI/CD pipelinesParticipate in architecture discussions, design reviews, peer reviews, and code reviewsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6–10 years of experience5+ years of hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and BeatsExperience with Elastic security features including SSL/TLS, authentication, and role-based access controlsStrong troubleshooting and documentation skillsExperience working in Agile environments using tools like Jira and ConfluenceDoD 8570/8140 Level II compliantActive or eligible to obtain required DoD clearancePreferred QualificationsElastic Certified Engineer certificationExperience with Docker and KubernetesExperience supporting production systems with high availability requirementsFamiliarity with Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) concepts
