JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition Title: Court Administrative AssistantLocation: Phoenix, AZ 85003 - 100% OnsiteExpected Duration of Project: Anticipated length of engagement: 2–3 month1st shift / M-F / 8-5 TentativePosition DescriptionProvides administrative support in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment that requires the ability to multi-taskUses strong organizational and communication skills to provide exemplary customer service, both internally and externallyEnsures that the needs of the Court are met effectivelyWorks with Judicial Officers and various other departments dailyDelivers excellent customer service while answering a high volume of questions from internal and external customers by phone, email, and in personExplains legal filing procedures both at the counter and over the telephoneSchedules hearingsAssists the general public, law enforcement agents, attorneys, and their staff, and other employees with locating information, documents, and other related materialsPerforms a variety of case management functions, including reviewing case status reports, Cal-Acti, and researching casesPrepares and maintains statistical informationPerforms general clerical duties including but not limited to photocopying, scanning, faxing, mailing, and data entryPerforms other duties and special projects as assignedSkills RequiredKnowledge of:Principles and processes for providing customer service including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfactionSkill in:The use of computer applications including spreadsheets, databases, and word-processing softwareWritten and verbal communication with others to convey information effectivelyProviding exemplary customer serviceThe preparation of statistical reportsAbility to:Learn policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the CourtRespond courteously to the concerns of the public, attorneys, and employeesUse effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks at one timeExcel in a high-volume and time-sensitive work environmentEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with othersUnderstand and accurately brief oral and written instructionsMake sound decisions in accordance with regulations, policies, and proceduresWork as a member of a team with minimal supervisionSkills PreferredTime management and the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and other specialized clerical support duties with frequent interruptionsData entry with a high degree of accuracyAttention to detailExperience RequiredTwo (2) years of general clerical or administrative experiencePost-secondary education may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basisEducation RequiredHigh school diploma or GEDAdditional InformationWorking Conditions:Employee may need to communicate clearlyPerceive details of objects that are close byMaintain various physical positions for extended periods (sitting, standing, or walking)Use hands for tasks such as typing, handling objects, or operating toolsReach with hands and armsOccasionally move or lift objects weighing up to 20 poundsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions
