SummaryJob Description:The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation of safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulationsConduct routine preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdownsDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues with Extrusion Molding machineryPerform repairs and replacement of faulty components to keep machines operating efficientlyAssist in the installation and commissioning of new equipmentParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiencyDocument work requests, work orders, and machinery failures for machines and equipmentUtilize electrical measuring instruments to solve electrical issuesMaintain chiller systemMaintain plant air supply systemMaintain resin delivery systemRecord and maintain spare part usageMinimum Required Skills And EducationHigh school diploma or GED3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsPossess the knowledge and understanding of process controls, industrial electrical wiring and 3 phase systems up to 480 VoltsKnowledgeable of A/C and D/C motors and controlsFamiliarity with PLCs, motors, drives, and control systemsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprintsBasic computer skills for documentation and CMMS systemsExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust be able to effectively read, write and communicate in EnglishPreferred Skills/EducationTechnical certification or Associate’s DegreeWelding, fabrication, or machining experienceExperience with extrusion or plastics processing equipmentKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and TPM principlesPhysical Requirements And Working ConditionsAbility to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentFrequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching to access machinery and perform repairsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally heavier loads with assistanceManual dexterity for handling tools, small components, and precision adjustments.Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces as required for equipment maintenanceGood vision (with or without corrective lenses) for reading schematics, troubleshooting, and performing detailed workComfortable working in areas with high noise levels, heat from extrusion processes, and exposure to lubricants, chemicals, and moving machineryMust wear required PPE throughout the shiftAbility to work when needed, including weekends or overtime as needed to support productionCompensation Information$28-$32Target start date: May 4, 2026ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
