This role is responsible for supporting the development and execution of comprehensive safety and environmental programs, delivering employee training, identifying and correcting workplace hazards, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company requirements. The Safety / EHS Coordinator will partner closely with employees and leadership across the facility to investigate incidents, reduce workplace injuries, support environmental compliance, and continually improve workplace safety.What You'll DoSupport and continuously improve comprehensive safety and environmental programs designed to achieve a safe, compliant workplace and move toward zero recordable injuriesConduct safety training, new employee orientation, and ongoing education while reinforcing safe work practices across manufacturing operationsPerform workplace inspections and risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and partner with operational teams to implement corrective and preventive actionsLead and document investigations involving accidents, injuries, environmental incidents, property damage, and near misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrenceSupport OSHA and environmental regulatory compliance, including required documentation, reporting, audits, MSDS/SDS administration, and safety program managementCoordinate emergency response programs, including first aid, CPR/AED, spill response, incident response, and other facility preparedness initiativesMonitor safety performance metrics, including Injury Recordable Rate, workers' compensation costs, training completion, and regulatory complianceQualifications/RequirementsRequired:Bachelor's degree requiredBilingual in English and Spanish required, with the ability to effectively communicate safety information, training, and expectations in both languagesMinimum 2 years of relevant experience in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), occupational safety, environmental compliance, or manufacturing safetyKnowledge of environmental regulations and related compliance requirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organizationStrong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookPreferred:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related fieldExperience supporting EHS programs within food and beverage, alcohol beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or other manufacturing environmentsExperience with OSHA compliance, incident investigation, workers' compensation, emergency response, and environmental programsSafety certifications such as OSHA 30, ASP, CSP, or other relevant EHS credentialsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologiesPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistanceAbility to work around moving mechanical equipment within an active manufacturing environmentAbility to work in areas with elevated noise levels and other typical manufacturing conditionsAbility to walk and move throughout the facility to conduct inspections, investigations, training, and safety assessmentsAbility to work an 8-hour shift and overtime as business needs requireRegular, reliable, in-person attendance is requiredCulture and BenefitsSazerac offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, career development opportunities, tuition assistance programs, and more.Compensation: $74,000 – $92,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and interview performance.Sazerac is committed to equality of opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, veteran status, age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, genetic information, physical or mental disability, or any other legally protected status.What's NextAfter you apply, a recruiter will review your application and reach out to qualified candidates.
