Overview
In this role you will integrate requirements and program instrumentation data acquisition equipment for flight test campaigns. You will lead or contribute to installation, checkout, and calibration of data systems to ensure high-quality data display, processing, and analysis. You’ll maintain configuration control and mission capability of the instrumentation system and ground support equipment. You will collaborate with test ops, maintenance, and management to coordinate instrumentation needs, while adapting to extended hours and travel as required.

ResponsibilitiesIntegrate requirements and program data acquisition equipment, FTI fiber system, and signal conditioning during integration and flight testOversee installation, checkout, and calibration of data systems for proper data display, processing, and analysisMaintain configuration control and mission capability of instrumentation systems and ground support equipmentSpec, select, design, integrate, operate, and maintain airborne data acquisition systems and related componentsSupport preflight, post-flight, and control room activities for scheduled missionsCoordinate instrumentation requirements across test ops, maintenance, and managementDemonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and work independently or with a team to meet test program goalsBe prepared for extended hours, off-shift work, weekends, and travel as required
Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience/educationAbility to develop, test, and troubleshoot data acquisition systems and instrumentation devicesExperience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and process specificationsProficient in troubleshooting tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers) and other lab equipmentStrong written and verbal communicationAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teamsProblem-solving and analytical mindsetData acquisition systemsInstrumentation hardware and integrationSignal conditioning
