WHO WE NEED We are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Senior Structural Engineer to oversee staff and project development across our company. The successful candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field Minimum of 15 years of structural design experience Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience in Project Management and/or staff leadership is preferred Primary Responsibilities: Ensure quality, budget, and schedule adherence for structural engineering work Participate in early-stage project development, including scoping, risk assessment, conceptual designs, and fee determination Interact and communicate with clients as a Project Manager and support other Project Managers Maintain and understand all design software within the office; establish base design parameters, use cases, and limitations; provide or arrange training for staff to improve software efficiency Maintain structural design guidelines and resources Allocate structural team members to meet project and schedule needs Coordinate quality control reviews of calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports Manage and develop structural staff, providing hands-on training individually and in team settings Required Experience: Structural analysis, design, and detailing for steel, wood, masonry structures, and concrete foundations Familiarity with light cable structures, precast concrete, and AASHTO is desired Experience with commercial and residential projects Proficiency with the International Building Code (IBC), ASCE-7, ACI 318, AISC 360, AITC and/or NDS (wood), and TMS 402/602 (masonry) Use of three-dimensional analysis and design software Strong understanding of construction methods and ability to identify constructability issues in drawings and details On-site condition inspection and assessment Specification writing, technical report writing, and public speaking Leadership and coordination of staff Skills: Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills Problem-solving ability and a “can-do” attitude Capability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment We look forward to welcoming a dedicated professional who can contribute to our team's success.
