Start Date: 11/1/2024End Date: 10/31/2025Client: The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC)Work Location: Austin, TXDescription:The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) and Texas Appraiser Licensing and CertificationBoard (TALCB) (Agency), as a self-directed semi-independent state governmental agency, issoliciting a Request for Offer (RFO) from qualified individuals or entities to provide web designservices for trec.texas.gov and talcb.texas.gov.The websites must be replatformed from Drupal to WordPress.4.2.2 The websites must meet or exceed WCAG 2.1, Level AA accessibility requirements withVPAT documentation.4.2.3 The websites’ hosting services must comply with the DIR security test and receive DIRapproval prior to implementation.4.2.4 The Offeror must provide a plan for site architecture, navigation strategy, and framework forwebsites with extendibility in mind, to include (but not limited to) an optimization plan forusers to discover and easily navigate to other areas of the websites, digital tools, and webapplications.4.2.5 The websites must integrate search functionality.4.2.6 The hosting environment and WordPress configuration should allow for WordPress to actas both a REST provider and Consumer.4.2.7 The hosting environment should allow for additional future WordPress sites.4.2.8 The websites must have a user structure that allows multiple editors and authors of sitecontent, with varying levels of permissions, that integrates with LDAP.4.2.9 The Offeror must provide CMS performance tuning, support, security, and training.4.2.10 The websites must accommodate the database Accela and/or Versa integrations.4.2.11 The websites must include search engine optimization capability including management ofmetatags, redirects, a sitemap.xml file, and reporting of 404 errors.4.2.12 The websites must include page-level integration with Google Analytics that allows forunique page view trackingWordPress developer· 5 to 6 years experience in WordPress development. Deep knowledge of how WordPress works, including its core structure, files, and database schema. Understanding of the WordPress loop, actions, hooks, filters, and template hierarchy.· Experience in HTML5, CSS3, PHP, Javascript· Proficiency in MySQL for managing databases, querying data, and optimizing database performance. Ability to work with the WordPress database schema and make direct queries when necessary.· Experience building custom WordPress themes from scratch or modifying existing ones, ensuring they are responsive, optimized, and follow best practices.· Ability to develop custom plugins to add new features and functionalities beyond standard WordPress capabilities.· Experience working with the WordPress REST API for building custom applications or integrating external systems with WordPress.· Ability to consume and create RESTful APIs for third-party services (e.g., CRMs, ERPs, or external databases).
