26003695Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU – Part-time, 7P Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + TogetherWork location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132Work hours: Part-time, 24 hours weekly, 2-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 amDepartment HighlightsICU Department (18 bed); 1:2 nurse to patient ratioHigh acuity level of carePatient population includes respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, renal failure, cardiovascular issues, isolation patients, etc.The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skillsSelf-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growthRobust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership teamMAGNET facilityLevel III Trauma CenterHere’s What You NeedNursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferredCLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hireBCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterlyACLS – within 90 days of hireCPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hireNIHSS – within 6 months of hire required1 year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program requiredCurrent RN experience in ICU setting preferred - will consider PCU experienceIn addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN willdemonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations.What You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process assesses the patient plans the care of the patient intervenes as appropriate evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
