The Multicultural Leadership Program (MCLP) is seeking a passionate and driven Program Director / Operations Lead to lead and grow its mission of developing inclusive, community-focused leaders.This part-time leadership role (≈25 hours/week) is responsible for overseeing program operations, engaging volunteers and stakeholders, and advancing MCLP’s strategic vision. Learn more at www.themclp.org.Position OverviewThe Program Director (PD) is responsible for executing MCLP’s strategic direction and overseeing day-to-day operations of the organization’s core leadership program. Reporting to the President of the Board of Directors, the PD ensures alignment with MCLP’s mission while driving program excellence, organizational sustainability, and community impact. This role requires a dynamic leader who can balance managing programs, engaging stakeholders, and supporting growth through fundraising, marketing, and partnerships.Key Responsibilities1. Leadership & Organizational ManagementLead execution of MCLP’s strategic vision and operational plans in partnership with the Board Ensure excellence in program delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement Recruit, manage, and support both paid and volunteer staff Foster strong engagement with board members, committees, alumni, and volunteers Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements 2. Program Oversight & ExecutionDevelop deep expertise in MCLP programs and ensure alignment with mission and long-term goals Drive consistent program quality and participant experience Promote active volunteer participation and leadership development opportunities 3. Marketing, Communications & FundraisingLead branding, marketing, and public relations efforts to strengthen MCLP’s visibility Expand donor networks and cultivate partnerships with individuals, businesses, and community organizations Support fundraising initiatives, including proposal writing and campaign execution Serve as MCLP’s primary external representative and spokesperson 4. Financial & Administrative ManagementCollaborate with the Board and finance partners to develop and manage budgets Support financial planning, reporting, and analysis Maintain organizational records and ensure timely compliance 5. Growth & Strategic DevelopmentIdentify and execute strategies to expand programs, partnerships, and revenue streams Develop actionable plans across fundraising, marketing, and operations to achieve growth goals Engage alumni and build a strong culture of stewardship and long-term involvement Work RequirementsAbility to engage with the public, including public speaking and community representation Regular local travel for meetings, events, and program delivery Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and Saturdays Ability to lift and transport materials (25–50 lbs. as needed) Ideal Candidate ProfilePassion for leadership development, diversity, and community impact Strong organizational leadership and stakeholder engagement skills Experience in nonprofit management, program leadership, education, and/or community-based initiatives Proficiency with technology tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Constant Contact, with ability to effectively leverage digital platforms for communication, program delivery, and operations. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a dynamic environment Excellent communication, relationship-building, and fundraising capabilities
