Structural Engineer, P.E. (Senior/Principal Level) Location: Austin, TX or Tampa, FL Compensation: $200,000–$250,000 base + performance bonus + equity participationOverviewWe are seeking a senior-level Structural Engineer, P.E. to play a critical leadership role in a growing engineering platform with a strong pipeline of infrastructure and industrial work. This is a high-impact position designed for an experienced professional who wants influence, upside, and autonomy—not just another seat.The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong client relationships (or a book of business), preferably with experience in water and wastewater infrastructure or electrical. This role has a clear path to equity ownership and long-term leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as Engineer of Record (EOR) on complex structural projectsLead structural design for industrial, municipal, and infrastructure projects, with emphasis on water/wastewater facilitiesOversee and mentor junior engineers and designersParticipate in business development, client management, and proposal effortsLeverage existing client relationships to support revenue growth (preferred)Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and process engineering teamsReview plans, calculations, and specifications for quality and complianceSupport expansion into new markets and service lines as neededRequired QualificationsActive Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (multi-state preferred)10+ years of structural engineering experienceExisting client relationships or book of businessStrong background in structural analysis and design (steel, concrete, foundations)Experience serving as Engineer of RecordExcellent communication and client-facing skillsProven leadership and project management capabilityPreferred QualificationsExperience with water and wastewater infrastructure, including:Treatment plantsPump stationsLift stationsIndustrial process structuresExperience working with municipalities or public agenciesPrior leadership or principal-level role in an engineering firmInterest in long-term equity ownership and firm growthCompensation and IncentivesBase Salary: $200,000–$250,000Performance Bonus: Tied to project delivery and revenue growthEquity Participation: Available for the right candidateOpportunity to shape the direction of a growing engineering platformWhy this Role?This is not a traditional “employee” engineering role.
