General Facilities Associate
POSITION OVERVIEW:The General Facilities Associate supports the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of the workplace environment, assisting with repairs, and supporting office and operational needs as directed.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Supports facilities manager and supervisor on facility inspections and walkdowns to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionalityFollow-ups as requested by facilities manager/supervisor on facility related issues and repairsEscorts facility related vendors as requestedSupports any facility related issue tracking and reporting as requestedPick up trash in and around the facilities and parking areasPerform minor repairs such as painting, sheetrock patching, replacing light bulbs and air filtersInventory and stock necessary suppliesAssist with setup and breakdown of meeting rooms, events, or workspace arrangementsPromptly respond to facility-related work ordersOther duties as assigned by TASJOB SKILLS:Good written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish is preferredStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility of carrying out repair work- facility relatedEDUCATION & TRAINING:High School Diploma or GED preferredMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:3 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial services, or a related field preferredAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible and adaptable to changing priorities and environmentsBasic familiarity working around electrical equipment such as lights and panels, etc.Operate a forklift and manliftPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Previous related manufacturing or facilities experienceBasic understanding of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) is a plusMechanical knowledge is a plusPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work performed in a shop environment.Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.Requires normal vision and absence of color blindnessPhysical effort equals frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials.The use of Safety Glasses is required.The use of a hard hat is required.The use of earplugs is recommended.Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week.Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing FacilitySubject to both inside and outdoor environmental conditions.Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, climbing ladders, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions.
