Junior Full Stack Engineer (Java + React) HK Tech is a technology consulting and product development company building modern software solutions across healthcare, e-commerce, AI, workforce management, and enterprise systems. Our team works on a diverse portfolio of products and client engagements, giving engineers the opportunity to solve challenging business problems across multiple industries.We're looking for a motivated Full Stack Engineer who enjoys working across the stack, learning new technologies, and contributing to a variety of projects.What You'll DoDesign, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java and React.Build and consume REST APIs and integrate with third-party systems.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and agile ceremonies.Contribute to AI-enabled applications and workflows.Troubleshoot production issues and support ongoing platform enhancements.Work across multiple projects and technologies as business needs evolve.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Required Qualifications2 years of professional software development experience.Strong experience with Java and modern backend frameworks (Spring Boot preferred).Strong experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD practices.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with remote and in-person team members.Must be located in Utah and able to come into the Sandy office occasionally.Preferred QualificationsExperience with AI/LLM technologies, including OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms.Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.What We're Looking ForA self-starter who can adapt quickly and wear multiple hats.Someone who enjoys working on a variety of projects rather than a single product.Strong communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Team player who values collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.Interest in emerging technologies, especially AI and automation.Why HK Tech?Work on diverse and impactful projects.Exposure to modern AI and cloud technologies.Collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.Opportunities for growth and mentorship.Hybrid work model with a Utah-based team.To apply, please submit your resume along with a brief summary of projects you've built using Java, React, and AI technologies.
