Job Title: Director of Finance
Location: Portland, OR or Bend, OR
Our successful renewable energy development firm, located in Portland and Bend, Oregon, is seeking a Director of Finance. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact with banks and financial partners for our growing business.
The company is relatively small and growing quickly, highly entrepreneurial, fast paced, and can offer a level of engagement that most large organizations cannot. We hire “doers” who are driven, take ownership of their work, and proactively seek out problems that need to be solved. This position will be based in Portland, OR.
Essential Functions
Project Finance and M&A
Source and cultivate relationships with project buyers, lenders and tax credit purchasers
Negotiate commercial terms with project buyers, lenders and tax credit purchasers
Build financial models for banks and company principles
Drive transaction structuring to maximize project economics
Manage bank diligence, legal review, and closing of loans and tax credit sales
Banking, Insurance, and Cash Management
Develop strong working relationship with existing bank partners
Source and manage working capital lines if required
Assist with medium and long-term cash management and planning (3+ months out)
Manage covenants and reporting to banks to ensure we are in compliance with loans
Manage insurance relationships, bonding capacity, and diligence requests
Asset Management
Develop asset management functions for operating portfolio
Manage on-going reporting requirements
Ensure operation and maintenance providers are performing in accordance with standards
Other duties as assigned.

Degree in business, finance, accounting, related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 4 years of experience in a similar financial role.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial company.

Ability and interest to learn and master new material, as required, and speak confidently on it.
A collaborative and engaging team member.
