We firmly believe that words and actions matter, which is why all individuals are to be treated equally and with respect.The Retail & Games Lead is responsible for managing operations of one or more retail and games locations including training, accountability, visual merchandising, inventory controls, cashier duties and quality controls.We Are Currently Looking For aSplish Splash Retail & Games LeadRoles & ResponsibilitiesSupervisory Duties:Assist with the daily supervision of the Retail and Games team and any other assigned departmentsLead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Splish Splash’s core valuesAct as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team membersBecome knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all retail and games positions and backfill these positions when neededAssist with onboarding and training team members on how to safely and successfully perform their jobsEnsure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with NY lawAssist with team scheduling and timekeeping activitiesDepartmental DutiesWelcome and greet all Guests as they enter retail locationsPerform opening and closing procedures of assigned unit(s) including daily cleanup.Manage inventory levels by completing daily stocking of all gift shops, checking orders, and moving inventory from other shopsEnsure a variety of items are available for guests to purchase and that store shelves are fully stockedProactively communicate inventory needs to Retail Manager before items are sold outCollaborate with Retail Manager to merchandise stores and improve product salesEnsure employees are adhering to departmental and company policies (theft of merchandise/counterfeit training/etc.)Monitors cashier activities to ensure continuous accuracy and compliance with POS procedures. Ensure merchandise and retail supplies are well stocked and organizedMaximize unit visual merchandising standards. Leads team in Guest Service interactions and friendliness standards. Maintains cleanliness of store areas including exteriors.Manages inventory, focusing on stock par levels, shrink and waste controls. Oversees ancillary duties related to lockers, speedy pass and water park rentals.Be on alert for possible theftReports maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor or manager in a timely mannerPromptly notifies the security team or the operator of team member and guest injuries or emergenciesAll others as assigned by Retail, Games, or Park leadershipPay Rate: $18 / hr.Skill Game And Arcade Roles & ResponsibilitiesRetail Leads at certain locations are also responsible for assuming additional skill game and arcade duties. For these team members, the additional roles and responsibilities may include: Assist with the day-to-day supervision of the skill game teamMaintains game area in a neat, organized, and clean mannerEnsure that game area remains properly stockedResolve and/or escalate guest complaints to the proper management authorityPromptly notifies supervisors and area managers if there is a maintenance issue with a gameEducation & ExperienceNo education required1+ years of previous retail, point of sale, and/or supervisor experience is desired.LanguageAbility to read, write, and speak fluent EnglishSpanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.RequirementsMust be at least 16 years of age to comply with NY Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shiftAbility to comply with all uniform policiesMust possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerAbility to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfactionPrevious experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plusAbility to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independentlyPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workdayAbility to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shouldersAbility to use a step ladder in a safe and proper mannerAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 40 pounds or moreWorking ConditionsThis role will be based in one or more retail locations throughout Splish Splash, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environmentsFrequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, raim and other weather conditionsSome exposure to dust and chemical cleaning agentsSubject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activitiesTeam Member BenefitsWorking at Splish Splash is about making people happy!
