Senior Data ArchitectLocation: Remote - Plano, TX preferredCompensation: $150,000 – $160,000OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of a complex, multi-brand eCommerce data platform. This individual will operate as a Data Domain Lead, owning architecture across multiple systems and driving scalable, compliant, and high-performance data solutions in a multi-tenant environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and own enterprise-level data architecture across domains such as orders, inventory, pricing, and customer dataBuild and optimize event-driven data pipelines and Change Data Capture (CDC) frameworksArchitect scalable multi-system, multi-tenant data platforms, ensuring data isolation and integrityDefine and enforce canonical data models across enterprise systems (ERP, OMS, CRM, payments, etc.)Lead data migration and integration efforts across multiple brands and platformsImplement and maintain data governance frameworks, including PII handling and regulatory compliance (PCI-DSS, GDPR)Partner with cross-functional teams to drive architecture alignment and present decisions to leadershipSupport AI/ML data initiatives, including feature stores, data lineage, and advanced analytics use casesRequired Qualifications10+ years of experience in enterprise Data Architecture (not just engineering)Strong hands-on experience with:Event-driven architectureCDC pipelinesDeep expertise in eCommerce data domains (orders, inventory, pricing, customer)Experience designing multi-tenant / multi-system data platformsStrong experience with Snowflake or similar data warehouse/lakehouse technologiesSolid understanding of PCI-DSS and GDPR compliance, including data governance and PII handlingProficiency in Java and/or PythonStrong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and business teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, EventBridge, DMS, EMR, and RDSExposure to AI/ML data pipelines or feature store architecturesBackground in retail, eCommerce, or multi-brand environmentsWhat Success Looks LikeActs as the go-to data architecture leader across a complex ecosystemDrives alignment across engineering, product, and business stakeholdersDesigns scalable, compliant systems that support growth across multiple brands
