Associate Data Engineer — Data IngestionHyperdrive Bio | Remote (US)About the RoleWe're looking for a Associate Data Engineer to help us ingest and structure data from the CLIA laboratory partners we work with. You'll build the pipelines that take raw lab data and turn it into clean, usable datasets for our platform.This is a great opportunity to get in early at a growing healthcare data startup, work directly with our founding team, and grow your skills fast with real ownership from day one. No laboratory or pathology background required, we'll teach you the domain. What matters is that you're sharp with data, coachable, and easy to work with.What You'll DoBuild and maintain data ingestion pipelines from partner lab sourcesWrite and optimize SQL to structure, clean, and transform dataUse Python to automate ingestion, transformation, and QA workflowsTroubleshoot data issues independently and flag what needs escalationWhat We're Looking For1–2 years of experience (new grads and bootcamp grads welcome)Solid SQL skills — comfortable writing queries, joins, and basic optimizationSolid Python skills — scripting, automation, data handlingCoachable — takes feedback well and applies itHard-working and resourceful — figures things out, doesn't stall waiting for answersSelf-sufficient — can own a task from start to finish with minimal oversightNo prior lab/pathology/healthcare experience requiredPortfolio required — must have a portfolio of completed data engineering projects (e.g., GitHub, personal site, writeups).
