The CIVO will be responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with various stakeholders, including members of the investment advisory committee, financial institutions, and other related professional organizations. This role involves supervising and ensuring that investment staff are in compliance with state statutes and company policies, as well as making independent investment decisions that prioritize security, liquidity, and yield. The CIVO will also be involved in daily cash management, managing the depository contract, and providing guidance on financial matters within a complex legal and regulatory environment.Candidates for the CIVO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 7 years of high-level professional financial management experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment analysis and management, with a focus on fixed-income securities. Experience in government investments and familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus. The role requires advanced skills in financial analysis, communication, and the ability to make independent decisions that have a significant impact.
