Job Description OverviewCTG is seeking to fill Document Prep Associate – first and second shifts openings for our client in Ashland, VA.You will assist with the day-to-day operations within a Digital Imaging Center, with a focus on digital imaging and related duties.Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.Location: Ashland, VADuration: Ongoing contractShift: 4 pm to 12:30 am M-F (Sa morning)Pay Rate: $15.00/hrPlease note that there is a client required criminal background check, education verification and drug screen if offered the position.Position Overview:We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Document Preppers to join our document scanning facility. The Document Prepper plays a critical role in ensuring documents are properly prepared for high‑quality digital scanning. This is a great entry-level opportunity for individuals who are organized, hands‑on, and comfortable working in a production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare a wide array of document types and conditions for scanningValidation/Reconciliation of boxes/files receivedPrepare document for scanning by removing staples, clips, rubber bands or any type of bindings or obstructionsIdentify and report damaged or fragile documents that require special handlingIdentify and report undersized documents that may need special handlingAbility to use handheld scanner to scan the box barcodeInsert slip sheets at the appropriate level (physical division) to establish document separationIdentify the location of oversized document and out-sort for wide format scanningEscalate exception items identified during production to the leadMaintain an organized workflow to meet daily production goalsAssist with other document preparation tasks as neededQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (must be 18 yrs old)Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused on repetitive tasksGood hand‑eye coordination and comfort working with physical documentsAbility to stand or sit for extended periods, depending on task requirementsReliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethicAbility to work well independently and within a team environmentWork Environment:This position takes place in a production-style document scanning facility.
