This includes web UI, APIs, conversational/agent experiences, SQL IDEs, and CLI. You'll own experience primitives, global patterns, and experience contracts that enable consistent, scalable experiences while ensuring onboarding, navigation, and time-to-value outcomes for each persona.This role operates horizontally across product, design, and UI engineering organizations and serves as the primary partner to vertical product managers when capabilities span multiple access layers."This role exists so product teams can move faster without reinventing foundational user experiences or creating inconsistency for users."Key ResponsibilitiesCross-Layer Experience PrimitivesDefine, document, and evolve the core experience primitives that must behave consistently across access layers, including but not limited to:Identity and role contextEnvironment awareness (dev/test/prod)Compute selection and switchingData object discovery and referenceAction invocation, status, and feedbackError handling and explainabilityHuman and agent interaction boundariesGlobal Experience PatternsEstablish platform-wide UX patterns that apply across products and surfaces:Onboarding and first run experiencesHelp, guidance, and learning behaviorsPermission and access feedbackAgent interaction principles (trust, confirmation, explainability)Terminology, naming, and semantic consistencyThese patterns are contracts, not suggestions.Experience Contracts Across Access LayersAuthor and maintain formal experience contracts that define:What parity means across UI, API, agent, IDE, and CLIWhen divergence is acceptableRequired behaviors for GA readinessError and feedback semanticsPartner with vertical PMs to ratify these contracts and ensure adoption.Shared UX Platform RoadmapOwn the roadmap for shared UX capabilities delivered by UI Engineering, including:Identity and role resolution servicesShared navigation and discovery mechanismsExplainability and cost awareness frameworksAgent action frameworksOnboarding and preference servicesExperience analytics and instrumentationThis roadmap is prioritized in alignment with the executive UX strategy and is binding for shared UI engineering capacity.Required Qualifications5+ years of product management experience, preferably on platforms or infrastructure.Experience working across multiple user surfaces (UI, API, IDE, CLI, or agents).Proven ability to influence without direct authority.Strong systems thinking and comfort operating at abstraction.Experience partnering with design and engineering at scale.Preferred QualificationsExperience in enterprise data platforms, developer tools, or large-scale SaaS.AI or agent-driven user experiences.Platform governance or horizontal product ownership.Large, matrixed organizations.What Success Looks LikeUsers experience consistent workflows across access layers.UI Engineering delivers shared UX capabilities predictably.Vertical teams reuse platform patterns rather than rebuild them.Experience-related rework and duplication decrease.New access layers integrate without redefining core UX concepts.J-18808-Ljbffr
