Acquisition Specialist (Must have US Air Force AQ Experience) (Tampa Metro Only) Innovative Technologies Corporation is currently seeking an Acquisition Support Specialist with strong experience in Air Force acquisitions and procurement (Acquisition or Contracts Specialist, Support, or Analyst, etc.) in support of a major US Air Force multi-national communications and military intelligence program headquartered in Fairfax, VA (near Fair Oaks) in a hybrid position. The position is primarily located at MacDill AFB, Tampa Florida. The candidate is expected to be onsite 1 day per week depending on support requirements and classified access/meeting schedule. (Approved 9/26/2024, TAPS 071) REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in finance, accounting, business management (acquisitions or contracting emphasis), or a related field This position requires an active Top Secret DoD Clearance; SCI eligibility required MIMIMUM EXPERIENCE At least four (4) years US Air Force Acquisitions (AQ) experience supporting US Air Force source selections and major sole source procurements programs - if you have no Air Force acquisitions experience you will be rejected At least ten (10) years total years of experience performing DoD acquisitions or contract management “cradle to grave”, with emphasis in acquisition management, acquisition support, market research and solicitations, cost or price analysis, negotiations, and preparation of contract documentation Strong experience applying the FAR and DFARS (AFFARS is preferred) Experience in DoD acquisition project management processes, procedures, applications, and best practices (must be emphasized in resume) Expertise in oral and written English communications skills; advanced skills in the Microsoft Office environment is essential (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) NICE TO HAVE Previously worked with SAF/CDM, or other Program Executive Office Experience as an Air Force Acquisitions Officer (preferred) Experience in Risk Management techniques, RMF, and Risk Mitigation Strategies Read and understand "Risk Management Guide for DoD Acquisitions" Previous experience as a SETA contractor or US Air Force civilian RESPONSIBILITIES This hands-on Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA)* position directly supports military and civilian US government agencies and our Allied and Partner Nations communications and intelligence capabilities and works side by side government contracting specialists to support DoD objectives. The Acquisition Specialist will perform specialized acquisition-related activities, including Acquisition Plans that includes a work breakdown structure, risk matrix, and risk mitigation strategies, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), various sections of the solicitation package (e.g., scope of services, performance work statement, statement of objectives, transition plan, instructions to the offeror, market research, and evaluation criteria), a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan, proposal instructions, and documentation (plans, evaluation reports, briefings, summaries, etc.) produced during source selection. In addition, the Acquisition Support Specialist will assist in planning for future contracts and acquisition efforts, management, and documentation in the execution of Enterprise contracts, provide recommendations and support the future acquisition strategy and follow-on contracting actions, and assist in portfolio management across the spectrum of Enterprise contracts, to include monitoring contracts, expirations, transition onto and off contracts and status reporting to senior leadership. Attention to detail is essential, as well as administrative and project management skills; minimal supervision should be expected, and initiative is rewarded.
