This role plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across sales and use tax, income tax support, and tax accounting processes.Operating within a lean and fast-paced environment, the Senior Tax Associate partners closely with Accounting, Finance, and Operations to ensure the proper application of tax regulations, resolve tax-related issues, and strengthen internal processes and controls. This role also serves as a key support to the Tax Director, contributing to both recurring tax activities and ad hoc initiatives, while maintaining flexibility to address evolving business needs.The position requires a detail-oriented and proactive approach, with a strong foundation in tax compliance, data management, and cross-functional collaboration, enabling the organization to effectively manage risk and meet its tax obligations.ResponsibilitiesSales & Use TaxPrepare monthly sales and use tax workpapersMonitor taxability rules and support sales tax audits or inquiries.Assist with tax research on emerging issues, legislative changes, and new filing obligations.Partner with operations to ensure proper application of tax.Income Tax Compliance SupportAssist with gathering data for federal, state, and local income tax returns prepared by external advisors.Help track filing calendars and ensure timely submissions.Tax Accounting & Provision SupportPrepare routine tax account reconciliations and assist with annual provision data requests.Support the Tax Director with deferred tax schedules and documentation as needed.Generalist FlexibilityTake ownership of ad-hoc tax projects across federal, state, international, and indirect tax areas.Serve as a key resource to the Tax Director, stepping in wherever needed in a lean, fast-paced environment.Process, Controls & Cross-Functional WorkHelp improve tax processes, documentation, and internal controls.Work closely with accounting, finance, and operations to collect data and resolve tax-related issues.Position RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;2+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or corporate taxSolid understanding of Federal and State Income Tax principlesWorking knowledge of Domestic Sales and Use TaxStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervisionTAIT Benefits:Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance plansHealth Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions (HDHP plans)Flexible Spending Accounts (Medical & Dependent Care)Employer-paid life insurance with optional supplemental coverageEmployer-paid Short-term with optional long-term disability insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid parental leaveEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Wellness stipendsVoluntary benefits (e.g., accident, critical illness)Paid vacation and 12 holidays#LI-ML1TAIT is an equal opportunity employer fully committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
